Our ceremonial cacao is directly sourced from the Diomendez family farm in Nicaragua and carries a natural aroma of roasted hazelnuts.
Crafted with care and intention from bean to cup, this cacao is made to be experienced slowly and intentionally.
Back to love, back to body, back to self.
Recommended recipe for a cup of hazelnut magic
Ingredients
- 25-35g Back to Self Cacao
- 250ml Plenish Oat Milk
- Date syrup and seasalt to taste
Method
- Finely chop 25-35g of cacao and melt gently in a pan on a low heat until it reaches a smooth, paste-like consistency.
- Slowly add your plant milk of choice - we love Plenish Oat Milk (no oils or nasties) - pouring a splash at a time while continuously stirring the cacao.
- Once all the milk has been added and the cacao feels silky smooth, gently increase the heat until it reaches your desired temperature.
- Avoid boiling, as this can reduce some of the cacao’s natural nutrient-rich properties.
- Finish with a pinch of sea salt - we use Celtic sea salt - and a squeeze of date syrup to taste.
For a full ceremonial dose, use 40-50g of cacao.
